entrega beneficios concretos a productores y consumidores.

The growth of the global population and the expansion of the
consumerism model have leaded to an accelerated decrease in the
natural resources and to an increasing degree of pollution of the
environment. Therefore, it becomes necessary to adopt a more rational
and equitable model of society, in which, aiming for the sustainable
development, and the life quality of all the inhabitants of the world is
ensured.
The Ecodesign is a strategic methodology of design that minimizes the
environmental impacts associated to the life cycle of the products and it
delivers concrete advantages to both producers and consumers.
Moreover, it serves to the purposes of enterprise growth, giving an
aggregate value to the product through the innovation and the efficient
use of the resources.
The solutions of design respond to its specific close environment and
context, and hence it is not convenient to copy artificially models for
developed countries, given that we have a particular environmental
reality, different consumption guidelines, and a different industrial
infrastructure.
In the following text, we attempt to diagnose the situation of the textile-
clothing industry of Mar del Plata (Argentina), in relation to the Ecodesign.
This is a first and necessary step in order to be able to bring awareness in
the producers regarding the advantages of implementing tools of
environmental management that lead to a sustainable development.

ER -
