Abstract

The National Contest of Ideas for Sustainable Cities, organized by the Ministry of the Environment of the Nation in 2020, proposes the construction of ideas of projects that foster sustainable development around specific themes in the cities of Mar del Plata, Mendoza, Salta and Ushuaia. Promoting the Green Infrastructure in Mar del Plata obtained the first place in its locality, by proposing local planning strategies for the strengthening of Urban Ecosystem Services. This article explains the approach used for the proposal, the most relevant aspects of the urban diagnosis and the general structure of the project presented. The project highlights the importance of advancing in interdisciplinary work, with proposals in which civil society organizations, academia and people who pass through the city may be able to project and put into practice more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive urban systems.
