House for vacation in different urban contexts: Mar del Plata and Pinamar (1940-1960)

Abstract

The house for vacation grew up into the popularization´s process of tourism on the bonaerense coast, that gave rise the “news” seaside resorts (Pinamar) and consolidated the tradicional one´s (Mar del Plata)
Here, we will analize holiday´s houses built in those places between 1940 and 1960. Searching to identify aspects wich define them as typologically different from urban houses, and finally, detecting if the urban differences of the contexts affected the materialization of them.
