Abstract

The book explores the history of construction in Mar del Plata, focusing on the widespread introduction of reinforced concrete in the city and the emergence of new high-rise buildings. Through the network of people, companies, and other involved actors, it examines the processes that shaped the work culture and the impact of the Horizontal Property Law on the development of the real estate market. The work invites readers to question and reflect on the spaces we inhabit in a city where progress was the guiding principle and where, symbolically, the transition was made from sand to concrete.
