Abstract

Mobility, as seen by the pedestrians point of view and some specialists name “walkability“, along with the pedestrian displacements, is one of the least developed topics in the analysis of these issues within the current urban dynamics. By virtue of this, the objetive of this work is to generate a conceptual proposal developed from contributions such as Henri Bergson’s three level hypothesis about movement, Gilles Deleuze application on these three levels on images and cinema, and Immanuel Kant with his vision on movement and rest concept. These contributions are the parting off in this conceptual proposal.
This conceptualization aims to unravel, from a philosophical perspective, the mechanisms of the displacements that contribute to the construction of a classification on movements. This classification will be instrumented along with the existing empirical data of 18 blocks of the central area of Mar del Plata, the largest attraction area of the Passenger Public Autotransport of the city, with the purpose of being used in pursuit of an improvement in the planning of urban mobility and its articulation with urban land uses.
